- The Air Force Material Command (AFMC), Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), Capabilities Integration Directorate at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio will be hosting an XR-SIMAF (Simulation and Analysis Facility) Industry Day 23-24 Sep 2009 for government market research purposes. XR-SIMAF Industry Day is being held in Area B at WPAFB, AFIT CE Auditorium in Bldg 643, 2950 Hobson Way, Room 120. The purpose of the Industry Day is to familiarize industry with the changing Capabilities Integration Mission and the functional areas that will provide critical Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) resources under long-term, performance-based services contracts (PBSC). Attendance is limited to U.S. owned companies, no foreign owned companies. XR-SIMAF Industry Day presentations and facility tours will be h! eld on 23 Sep 2009 with one-on-one registrant breakout sessions on 24 Sep 2009. The tour of SIMAF facilities will be restricted to US citizens possessing a SECRET clearance. Questions related to the technical requirements and planned acquisition strategy will be addressed following the last government presentation on 23 Sep 2009 during a closing question and answer (Q&A) period. Registrants may also ask questions during individual one-on-one breakout sessions on 24 Sep 2009. General questions received for the Q&A period and Government responses will be loaded in the XR-SIMAF PIXS library. To register to attend the XR-SIMAF Industry Day, submit questions for the 23 Sep 2009 Q&A period, register for a SIMAF facility tour, and sign up for a one-on-one breakout session on 24 Sep 2009, submit completed registration form to Ms. Tawny Pavon, (937) 904-6518, email: tawny.pavon@wpafb.af.mil. Industry Day registration forms, agenda, maps, and driving directions can be downloaded from the XR-SIMAF PIXS library or by contacting Ms. Pavon. Tours of XR-SIMAF facilities in Bldg 145 will be held between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm on 23 Sep 2009. All participants taking the SIMAF tours must possess a SECRET clearance and must provide a Visit Notification request by contacting the SIMAF Security POCs, Mr. Joey Cox or Mr. Pete Aiello (937) 904-4057 or (937) 904-4058 respectively for Visit Notification instructions and JPAS SMO code. The Visit Notification request for the XR-SIMAF facility tour is separate and distinct from the event registration. Approved visit notifications will receive an e-mail confirmation. Sign-in for this event will begin at 0800 hours on 23 Sep 2009. Government briefings will begin at 0830 and conclude no later than 1300. Please allow 30 minutes to enter the base through the Springfield St, Gate 1B entrance and an additional 15 minutes to park near Bldg 643 and check-in. Industry Day briefings will be Unclassified. This Industry Day is for informational purposes only. Participation in this event is voluntary. The Government will not reimburse attendees for costs associated with participation in this event. The Government is under no obligation to award any related contract associated with this event. All XRA-SIMAF Industry Day participants are asked to register and submit Visit Notification requests for facility tours no later than 15 Sep 09, 4 p.m. EDT. Registrations and Visit Notification requests received after 15 Sep 2009 will not be considered.
