- Description
- The James H Quillen VA Medical Center, Mountain Home, Tennessee, is seeking the services of a qualified Architectural Engineering (A/E) firm to design Project 621-10-108 GI Clinic Renovation. Objective of the project is to renovate 2,836 SF of existing GI Lab space and create a functional and modern GI clinical operations area. AE work to include but is not limited to preliminary and final contract drawings, phasing plan, specifications, cost estimates, 3D conceptual and final renderings, and construction period services. AE will be required to develop bid alternate of 25% as necessary to assure award of contract within funds available. Construction work will include mild demolition, new metal studs/gypsum board corridor wall, new doors and frames, electrical/plumbing (incl sprinkler mods./HVAC modifications, new suspended acoustical ceilings, lighting, and all required new finish work. Project is to be complete within 90 calendar days after award. Construction Cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Area of AE consideration is limited to a 300 mile radius of the James H Quillen VA Medical Center, Mountain Home, TN 37684. Firms desiring consideration must submit THREE copies of SF 330, not later than 2:00 PM CT, September 28, 2009. This procurement is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. The SDVOB must be small under NAICS 541330 code and must be registered and verified in the following websites: www.vip.vetbiz.gov www.ccr.gov https://orca.bpn.gov and https://vets100.vets.dol.gov/ to be eligible for award. AEs must ensure their registrations are updated, correct, and have not expired. Small business size standard is $4.5 million. Contract award is subject to the availability of VA funds. A/E Selection criteria will include: 1) Professional qualifications necessary for performance of required services; 2) specialized experience and technical competence of the A/E firm with similar type projects; 3) past performance on contracts with Government agencies; 4) Location of A/E firm; 5) experience and roles of key design personnel, specifically on related projects; 6) cost control and estimating effectiveness. This is not a request for proposal. THREE copies of SF 330 should be mailed to Sherri-Lyn Teeters, Department of Veterans Affairs, 1639 Medical Center Parkway, Suite 400, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. No faxed or emailed SF 330s will be accepted. Do not contact the James H Quillen VA Medical Center with questions concerning this request for SF 330 forms. AES MUST SUBMIT JOINT VENTURE AGREEMENTS WITH THEIR SF 330s. A/E JOINT VENTURE FIRMS ARE REMINDED THEY ARE RESTRICTED TO THREE SUBMISSIONS IN A TWO YEAR PERIOD UNDER THE NAME OF THEIR JOINT VENTURE, REGARDLESS OF AWARD.
