- Center for Health Care Contracting, 2107 17th Street, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, 78234, intends to award a sole source contract to Applied Biosystems (AB) for 21 various AB reagents and supplies in support of 65 AB analyzers. The reagents and supplies must be equipment-specific for the various procedures for DNA identification. These include but not limited to DNA sequencing, quantitation, typing and amplification with primers, polymerases, terminators, etc... The delivery date is 5 days after the anticipated award date of 1 September 2009. This requirement is for the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, D.C, 20306. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is the Services Acquisition Reform Act of 2003 (41 USC 428a) and the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, FAR Part 13.501(a), only one source reasonably available., Center for Health Care Contracting intends to award an interim sole source contract to Applied Biosystems for AB specific reagents and supplies under NAICS code 325413. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. No solicitation will be made available
