- SOURCES SOUGHT - 09R200010 This is not a request for proposals. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) has a requirement for the continued support by the hour (SBH) for the Arriel 2C2 engines used on the Short Range Recovery (SRR) helicopter. This support includes management, logistical support, asset accountability, tooling, test equipment, facilities, depot repair to overhaul/modify Coast Guard owned assets. Contractor is responsible for maintaining ready-for-issue (RFI) spares at all US Coast Guard air stations. Contractual requirements include technical data, engineering support and a technical representative on site at USCG Aviation Logistics Center, SRR Product Line, Elizabeth City, NC. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the Arriel 2C2 engines is Turbomeca USA. An indefinite quantity requirements contract for a base year plus four one year option periods is contemplated. After review of the responses to this sources sought announcement, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published on the Federal Business Opportunities website, www.fbo.gov. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not an adequate response to any future solicitation announcement. All companies that can meet the requirement are encouraged to provide a capability statement, company literature, brochures, or any other information that demonstrates that the requirement can be met. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received not later than 9 September 2009, 4:00 PM (EST). This notice is to assist the USCG in determining potential sources only. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. All interested parties must respond to the solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are NOT considered as a request to be added to a prospective offeror's list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Reimbursement will not be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests. The United States Coast Guard is publishing this request for information purposes only and will consider suggestions from qualified vendors.
