Description
The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Eastern Regional Research Center (ERRC), Microbial Food Safety (MFS), intends to negotiate solely with Microbiology International in Frederick, MD to purchase one each of 23-E047 Systec Mediaprep10, 23-A000 Systec printer for V&D, 99-I101 - installation and training for one unit MP10 and one each of 35-E009 CombiJet 90-360 plates, 35-A103010 Tube filling option, inc. filling arm, support plate compatible 13-30mm tubes to be furnished and delivered (F.O.B. Destination within Consignee=s Premises) to the USDA, ARS, c/o UMES, Food Sciences Bldg., Room 2102 Princess Anne, MD 21853. Systec Mediaprep 10 will be used to prepare media of different types necessary to conduct predictive microbiology research experiments. This instrument has a 10L capacity with monitoring and print out of pressure and temperature throughout the entire cycle and as a safety feature will prevent user from accessing system outside of safety tolerances. It has a pneumatic locking system. It has a password so that parameters may not be changed unknowingly by students or other users. There is a pressure test to ensure that all lids are securely fastened. There is a flexible temperature probe for ease of use and durability instead of a fixed probe. The instrument has a preprogrammed cleaning cycle. This is under GSA contract no. GS-24F-0013J. SIN No. 66-117. Combi Jet 90: One of the most important unique features of this is instrument is that instead of feeding plates a whole stack at a time and sliding the plate from the bottom of the stack for filling, this instrument feeds one plate at a time to minimize jamming. Companies with the demonstrated capabilities of providing this instrument must submit a descriptive statement, including descriptive literature, specifically addressing the equipment’s component’s and availability. The statement and literature must be submitted to the Contracting Office Address within 10 days of publication of this notice. This is not a request for proposal. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE.
