Description
This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract and is not a request for proposals. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) / Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Office of Acquisition Management (OAM), 500 C St SW, PP 5 th Floor, Washington, D.C., intends to award a sole-source contract to American Science and Engineering (AS&E), 839 Middlesex Turnpike, Billerica, MA 01821 for two dual metallic detecting/organic detecting X-Ray inspection systems, Gemini100100, including 20 inch LCD monitors, 4 entrance and exit roller tables, one year parts and labor warranty, installation, and standard operator training at the customer site. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334517. The total estimated dollar value is $165,200.00.
