- Synopsis - 1660, TURBINE, AIRCRAFT CO PR Number(s): FD2030-09-81810Estimated Release date of RFQ: 11 September 2009Estimated Response Date for RFQ: 12 October 2009The anticipated award date will be: 9 November 2009Item: 0001 New Manufactured Material NSN: 1660-01-107-2459P/N: 764828-4Description: 9.5 inches long X 7.5 inches wide X 8.4 inches high X 13 pounds. Matl: Various CRES, silicone, lead, aluminum, etc. Func: Takes pre-cooled, pressure regulated bleed air, through the turbine inlet, expands it. Runs it through the turbine rotor and discharges it at a considerably reduced temperature.Quantity: 1 EachApplicable to: F-16Destn: FMS CountryHistory: Last purchase was April 1992 to Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation Unit price was <$22,000 for a quantity of 8.Written response is required. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(13)(ii), All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Current qualified sources are: Sole Source to Hamilton Sundstrand (Cage Code: 73030) Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation.
