Description

The work consists of the complete inspection of the lightning protection and grounding systems at eight (8) lookouts located on the Sequoia National Forest, plus optional bid item for one (1) additional lookout. Once inspections are completed repairs to each system may be completed. Materials needed for repairs may be government furnished. The project is located at various sites throughout the Sequoia National Forest. The estimated contract time is 60 calendar days. Estimated start work date is September 28, 2009. (Project sites are normally accessible between May and November but is not guaranteed.) No pre-bid tour will be conducted for this project. Contractors are encouraged to visit the lookout locations on their own and make the necessary site investigations prior to submitting proposals. Issue date is approximately August 27, 2009 with a closing date of approximately September 18, 2009.
