- Description
- Statement of Work 1.0 Introduction/ Objective FOCUS software with its sub-modules, are a proprietary perpetual Software License which is a product of Information Builders Inc. The enclosed is a request for a software maintenance sustainment contract. The contract would fund the maintenance of software which provides customers with a 4GL (fourth generation language). This application development tool is used by customers (and their contractors) to develop and field mission-critical applications. Maintenance of government-owned software licenses provides for periodic updates of the software, resolution of errors encountered while using the software, and telephonic assistance with use of the software. Without the periodic software updates, the software would, over time, become incompatible with the operating system, and would stop operating. The only alternative then would be to purchase a new license at about six times the cost of annual maintenance charges, or to pay for back maintenance of all missed periods. If this software failed because of lack of maintenance and updates, it would leave the Data Center customers without one of the most widely used languages for application development and retrieval, and would result in system failure for those applications which already rely on the FOCUS software. One critical system this would impact severely is the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS), which is used to schedule all worldwide military training for G1. 2.0 Tasks/ Requirements The contractor shall: 2.1 Provide maintenance in support of Information Builders Inc. Focus software products and its Sub-modules to the Pentagon Data Center Services Directorate. 2.2 Provide software updates via electronic keys, to the Data Center Technical Point of Contact to ensure software is operational (If necessary). 2.3 Provide telephonic support/assistance with use of software 3.0 POC/ Delivery Location Ms. Georgana Navarro US ARMY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AGENCY 6607 Army Pentagon Washington DC 20310 Georgana.Navarro@hqda.army.mil 4.0 Period of Performance The Period of Performance is, effective date of award October 01, 2009 through September 30, 2010. 5.0 Invoice In accordance with DFARS 252.232-7003, Electronic Submission of Payment Request, please submit all invoices using the Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) online database system.
