Description
Q23: We would like to know if this is a one time contract involving design, development, and testing the database and leaving it for someone else to maintain it or will you be needing support to maintain the data on a continuous basis from us. Response: This particular procurement is a firm fixed price contract with no option years. Q24: What is the total duration of the project? Response: This is a firm fixed price contract with a completion date of no later than 30SEP2010. Q25: What version of Linux are you using? Is this Linux base only for the operating system or for the hosting of this site or both? Response: The version of Linux being used is Redhat 4.7. This OS is being used to host the site as well. Q26: What current scripting languages are being used in the existing website? Response: Scripting languages such as Perl, Python, PHP and Ruby may be used on this website. Q27: You say that the backend data base will be in Oracle and it appears that you do not have a current Oracle database set up. Is it the responsibility of the contractor to provide the database application/licenses or will it be provided by NOAA? Response: The database application and licenses will be provided by NOAA. Q28: Are security clearance required for the contractor to be able to get on site access? Response: Security clearances are not required for access to the Government's work site. Individuals who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents must be registered at least three days in advance of any meeting at the work site. Further information on this requirement will be provided after contract award. Q29: Can the contractor work onsite and if so, what hardware/software is available for the contractor to use or do they need to provide their own equipment? Response: The work cannot be done at the Government's site. The contractor must provide all hardware and software required to support the work as described in the statement of work.
