- RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER THE GSA SCHEDULE NUMBER SIN 541 Advertising and Integrated Marketing: 541-1 Advertising Services and 541-4C Exhibit Design and Implementation ServicesThe Department of Interior (DOI), U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Southeast Louisiana Refuges Complex, Lacombe, Louisiana has a requirement for Conceptual Planning for Interpretive Exhibits and Fabrication/Installation. The scope of work includes the following: 1. Provide a conceptual design for space planning and/or renovations for remaining undeveloped space in the SE LA Refuges Visitor Center. Design will assess suitability of either incorporating or removing existing stepped interior spaces as appropriate, visitor traffic patterns, and melding of new spaces with already-developed exhibit areas. Concept design should emphasize sensory, hands-on approaches to interpretation that make connections with all age groups. It will contrast with static, traditional flatwork and dioramas already developed in the "front half" of the visitor center space. Exhibit design and space planning should incorporate the overall theme proposed for the visitor center: ""National Wildlife Refuges are actively managed for the conservation of fish, wildlife and habitat" To include a site visit by company staff members to meet with refuge staff and review existing conditions and discuss possible new exhibit themes and program priorities. 2. During a second site visit, the designers will present and discuss the written concept plan. The refuge would receive at least five copies of a design plan report including:"narrative summary of existing conditions, facilities, and programs to beconsidered in new interpretive exhibits and visitor center interior "descriptions and thumbnail sketches of exhibit components"floor plan at 1/4 inch scale and elevations of interior spaces showinglocation and approximate sizes of exhibits"budget estimate to implement the programs described in the plan, withspecific unit costs and general project cost considerations"two color sketches of exhibit space 3. Vendor will then construct and install highest priority exhibit modules as determined and refined in consultation with refuge staff.
