Description
SF-18 - Vessel to participate in priority research project relative to shark tagging and pelagic nursery ground research in the North Atlantic. The Department of Commerce National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Marine Fisheries, has a requirement for the purchase of services to secure a vessel to participate in priority research project relative to shark tagging and pelagic nursery ground research in the North Atlantic. The research topic relates to enhanced population estimate studies by obtaining detailed tag shedding rates in pelagic sharks. The place of performance is offshore waters throughout the Gulf of Maine, Georges Bank, Southern New England, and the grand Banks off Newfoundland, Canada. The government intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order for this requirement. The applicable NAICS code is 114111. The size standard is $4.0 million. All applicable awards shall be in compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12). CAR Clause 1352.239-73 Security Processing Requirements for Contractors/Subcontractor personnel for accessing DOC Information Technology Systems (JUN 2006) will apply. In order to comply with the debt collection improvement act of 1966, all contractors must be registered in CCR. Contact the CCR website at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm.
