- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, PA will procure field, technical, labor, and logistic support services, including incidental material, in support of replacing defective Camshaft Lifters and modification of the Air Shut-Off Valves on affected units. We intend to negotiate on a sole source basis with Milton CAT Power Systems Division, Southworth-Milton, Inc., 100 Quarry Drive, Milford, MA 01757. Milton Caterpillar if the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the Auxiliary Diesel Generator (ADG) Camshaft Lifter Replacement and Air Shut-Off Valve Modification tasks. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, there is only one responsible source and no other suppliers or services will satisfy the agency requirements, under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304 (c)(1), Numbered Note 22 applies. The Request for Quotation will be available to download from FEDBIZZOPPS or NECO.Navy.mil on or after 27 August 2009. The RFQ will be available electronically - no hard copies will be sent.
