- Due to the number of questions regarding this solicitation; we are be posting a question and answer board and will give everyone a chance to resubmit their quotes after reviewing answers. Final offers are due 9/16/09 no more questions will be accepted after this posting. QUESTIONS: 1. Do you have a ball park history over the last couple of years of how many of set up boxes and partitions you take in at a time? A - 25,000ea 2.The first quantity needed immediately is the 135,000. Will you be needing at least that many each year, A - Eastimated range per year is 300 to 350 thousand 3.Could there be some smaller orders over the year also ? A - yes 4. Does item number 2 (the partitions) need to be assembled inside item number 1 (the set up box) or can the assembled partitions be delivered flat meaning your people would put them in the set up box while packing in the blood tubes? A - Item 2, packed flat in master case of 100 5. Do you have a layout on item number 3 (the corrugated box). I think it is an auto lock bottom box but I need to have some type of layout so I am able to give you the proper quotation. A - Can send a sample. It is an auto lock bottom 6.Do the partitions need to ship already assembled or are they to be shipped flat ? A - Flat 7. Does the Kraft wrap have to be in the chipboard boxes ? A - Yes 8. Would it be possible to get pictures of one of those 40 round bottom tubes? A - Yes 9.Should the 40 round tubes be higher than the box they're stored in. Meaning will the lid rest on the tubes. A - Yes 10. Do the "Bloodboxes" have to fit in the " Kraft Boxes " A - Yes 11. Are the Chipboard boxes' joints glued or taped? A - Tapped 12. Can provide us with the diagram/drawing copy of each chipboard boxes requested ? A - Have pictures with sizes in spec. - can send 1 sample 13. Does this involve a Hazmat certification by the vendor? A - No 14. All of these appear to be cardboard boxes, but the solicitation says they are chipboard containers with coverd/lids are these cardboard boxes as well? A - Corrugated fiberboard is line item 3 Chipboard are lines 1 & 2 15. Are the lids cardboard or chipboard ? A - Chipboard Submit faxed or emailed quotations to Purchasing Section ag (612) 336-3550, Attention Carol Dingess. Quotations are due by September 16, 2009 by 4:00pm Eastern Time. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used per FAR 12. This will be a fixed price contract with allowance for economic price adjustments for a base period of 1 year and 4 option years. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE This Contract will be effective from date of issuance through September 30, 2010 with (4) four option years, per FAR 13.303-6.
