- Description
- The subject solicitation is hereby amended to address vendor questions and answers. The due date for quotes remains unchanged and only responses received by 3pm EST on August 25, 2009 shall be considered. Question 1: 1.2.1 Must include a digital pulse processor; HV power supply; universal detector interface card. The digital pulse processor signal must be LabView compatible. Output from the pulse processor must be readable with LabView software and hardware. Is specific support from the vendor required for NIST to achieve this or does NIST require the necessary software code to be written by the vendor? Answer: NIST will write the code to talk to the API in LabView. What NIST requires from the vendor is all of the necessary information to do so. The vendor does not need to supply additional software. Question 2: 3.1 The equipment must be compatible with National Instruments hardware to create a custom data acquisition and storage environment; Does NIST require a "turn-key" software/hardware solution; or, will NIST create the custom data acquisition and storage environment based on development tools supplied by the vendor? Answer: NIST does not require a "turn key" solution. NIST will create the data acquisition environment in LabView, but the vendor must supply an API whose output can be programmed into LabView. Please let me know if you have any additional questions, Thanks!
