Description
The US Army Space and Missile Defense Command intends to negotiate and award, on a sole source basis, a modification to increase the ceiling of current contract W9113M-07-C-0161 with FLIR Systems, Inc, Wilsonville, Oregon. This action is pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. This action is to require the original manufacturer of the FLIR THV-300 MS Ground-Based Operational Surveillance System (G-BOSS) sensors to repair and return non-warranty repairs and provide Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and 24/7 Performance Base Logistics (PBL). Award to any source other than FLIR Systems, Inc would result in unacceptable delays and substantial cost that are considered to be well beyond any cost savings that might be achieved through competition. This action will be awarded via a modification to the existing contract. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, this action is directed towards FLIR Systems, Inc. This notice of intent/synopsis is being issued for information purposes only and it is not a request for competitive proposals. Solicitation documents are not available. All responses should be directed to Neisha M. Valentin at neisha.valentin@smdc.army.mil and must be received within fifteen (15) days from publication of this synopsis. No telephone inquires will be accepted.
