- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Iowa City VA Medical Center, Iowa City, IA is soliciting and intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for assessment of the level of life safety compliance of all patient care buildings for the Statement of Work (SOW) specified Veterans Integrated Service Network-VA Midwest Health Care Network (VISN 23) Facilities.This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is VA-263-09-RA-0357 and issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36, effective August 11, 2009. The associated NAICS code is 541350 and small business size standard is $7M. This acquisition is a 100% Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside.Contract Line Items:ITEM NO.SCHEDULE OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES QUANTITY UNIT1 thru 6 Assess the level of life safety compliance 1 JB of all patient care buildings at the SOW specified VISN 23 facilitiesFAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition and any addenda to this provision. Before the offer's specified expiration time, the Government may accept an offer (or part of an offer), whether or not there are negotiations after its receipt, unless a written notice of withdrawal is received before award.Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision in FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with its offer.
