Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 3), James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx New York, Network Acquisitions and Logistics program is currently seeking firms, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Hubzone, 8(A) OR Small Business with the ability to provide SEWER EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND MAINTENANCE CONTRACT SERVICES for the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare Center FDR Campus, 138 Albany Post Road, Route 9A, Montrose, NY 10548-1454. The firm will be responsible for providing all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies and equipment, and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective performance of these required services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to emergency responses to building and sewer backups and blockages and maintain by scheduled cleaning and related services. The service is for a base year plus 3 option years. Firms must be able to demonstrate experience for the required services, it is preferred if the applicant has provided same or similar services to other VA Medical Centers throughout the United States. Response Time: The applicant shall provide emergency repairs for all equipment on this contract. The applicant shall promptly respond to requests for service 24 hours per day 7 days per week including Federal holidays. Emergency repair calls can be made only by the COTR or Foreman/designee. The applicant would provide a journeyman mechanic (on-site physical response) within two (2) hours after receipt of notification of any subsequent repairs and will proceed progressively to completion without undue delay. Applicant shall also provide an hourly rate for emergency repairs. Travel time shall be incorporated in the hourly rate. The applicant must also provide minimum of three (3) "REFERENCES" for providing same or similar services. Firms desiring consideration shall email directly to the Contracting Officer referencing the following in the subject field, SEWER EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND MAINTENANCE CONTRACT SERVICES VA-243-09-RQ-0429, then contain the following information within the body of the e-mail: Name of Firm, Socio-Economic category of the firm (SDVOSB, VOSB, 8A, HUBZONE or SMALL BUSINESS), Complete Address, Phone & Fax number of contact.
