CANCELLATION NOTICE: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W45MW291033000 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-34. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 453998 with a small business size standard of $7.00M. This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2009-08-20 18:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. FOB Destination shall be San Antonio, TX 78234 The USA ACA Ft. Sam Houston requires the following items, Meet or Exceed, to the following: LI 001, Contractor shall furnish and deliver two, smooth surface wrestling mats, often referred to as MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) wrestling mats. Mats shall be utilized for the purpose of conducting submission wrestling and combative training. Therefore, mats shall be designed for impact and shock-absorbency. Delivery of wrestling mats shall be to the Army Medical Department Center & School, 232nd Medical Battalion, 2950 Kohler Road, Building 1350, Suite 4, Fort Sam Houston, Texas 78234-5000. Wrestling mat specifications are as follows: - Mats shall measure 64 feet long by 64 feet wide by 1.25 inches in thickness. The salient characteristics of the wrestling mats shall be as follows: - Ultra Lightweight and Portable- Superb Shock Absorbency- One-Person Set-up- Excellent Durability- No Hardening or Shrinking- Never Requires Reconditioning- 24 oz gauge vinyl- Closed cell foam technology- Blue in color - Mat construction shall be in accordance with the The American Society of Testing and Materials International (ASTMI) F1081-97(03) Specification for Competition Wrestling Mats. Mats may be supplied in sections. Included with mat purchase and delivery is sufficient mat tape*, a repair kit, storage straps, and protective storage bags. *Mat tape shall be vinyl tape and shall be 4 Inches wide X 84 feet long. Vinyl tape shall be strong, heavy-duty, and transparent. Tape shall be designed to give strong bonding to mats and shall be designed to not split with continued use., 2, EA; LI 002, Contractor shall furnish and deliver twelve, smooth surface wrestling mats, often referred to as MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) wrestling mats. Mats shall be utilized for the purpose of conducting submission wrestling and combative training. Therefore, mats shall be designed for impact and shock-absorbency. Delivery of wrestling mats shall be to the Army Medical Department Center & School, 232nd Medical Battalion, 2950 Kohler Road, Building 1350, Suite 4, Fort Sam Houston, Texas 78234-5000. Sam Houston intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. USA ACA Ft.
