- Description
- The Department of State has a requirement to procure guard services in an international environment, therefore, this sources sought notice is issued for the purpose of determining if there are at least two responsible small businesses that are capable of meeting this requirement. Firms must demonstrate the capability and expertise to provide guard services in an overseas international environment with a dollar magnitude of two to five million dollars per year for federal government clients. A program manager position is considered a key personnel position for this requirement. The guard service would be responsible for preventing unauthorized access; protect life; maintain order; deter criminal attacks against employees; dependents and property and terrorist acts against all U.S. assets, and prevent damage to Government property. Interested small business shall e-mail a letter signed by a corporate official who can officially bind the company and verify that the company meets the above requirements. This letter shall describe within a four page maximum of the company’s ability to meet the requirements. In addition, the interested small business shall provide a list of federal government clients for which the contractor has provided guard services in an international environment with a dollar magnitude of two to five million dollars per year. The letter and list of federal government clients shall be e-mailed to CareyDA@state.gov by 10:30 am EST on September 3, 2009. All information submitted must be of sufficient detail for a decision to be made as to whether there are two responsible small businesses capable of meeting this requirement. Failure to submit sufficient detailed information will result in a contractor not being considered for this requirement.
