Description
This purpose of this solicitation is to find perspective vendors who are willing to bid on this solicitation in a reverse auction. A reverse auction is somewhat similar to E-Bay. The process that will take place is you, the vendor/contractor, will review the solicitation. Once you review the solicitation, and realize that you carry that item or of something of equal value, you will read and fill out the reverse auction form (one of the attachments). The form is simple; it explains how the process works. You will fill in the necessary information (company, date that is it), on that form, and e-mail the filled out attachment to me; jake.perrotta@us.army.mil. DO NOT e-mail me any quotes. In the solicitation time period of Wednesday 08/19 1:00pm to Monday 4:30pm I will need that form (THAT IS ALL). Once I have all the forms they will me sent off to IBOT (The reverse action). They will give you a user name, password, and date of auction. You will sign in with your user name and password on that time and date, than the auction will start. The way the auction works is you place your bid (include shipping) on a live computer auction. You compete with other companies live on the computer. (IF ITEM IS A DIFFERENT FROM THE ACQUSION THAN A REVEIW BY THE CUSTOMER WILL BE NESSECARY. IF ITEM IS FOUND UNACCEPTABLE THE NEXT LOWEST BIDDER WILL BE EVALUATED.) I will be out of the office Thursday 8/20 and Friday 8/21 returning on Monday 8/24. Any questions while I am on leave please contact me at 609-235-7890 (BLACKBERRY ASK FOR JAKE) or at jake.perrotta@us.army.mil for any questions or concerns. This has only been done once before, but it is fun. Thank you.
