Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) have a requirement to procure 2 Stand-Alone Rack Frog System to house Xenopus Frogs/Laevis. This is a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332999 and the small business size is 500 Employees. System requirements shall consist of: Two 3-Shelf Racks - 316L Stainless Steel Construction; rack configuration should provide open/easy accessibility to tanks, pressure line and drain line components for maintenance and replacement purposes Tank Size: 28 Gallon Frog Tank w/lid and Stand Pipe kits – Qty 12 EA 1000 Watt Titanium Heater – Qty 1 Quartz sleeve – Qty 2 EA UV Bulb – Qty 2 EA Pre Filter Pads Coarse – Qty 4 EA Pre Filter Pads Fine – Qty 4 EA Filter Bags 50 micron – Qty 10 EA Filter Bags 100 micron – Qty 10 EA Back-up System Pump – Qty 1 EA Flow and Pressure Control with adjustable water delivery and flow control at each tank, row and at each individual rack; Dual pressure gauges to indicate clogged filters or need for filter changes; Life Support System to consist of Two Stage Mechanical Filtration, Ultraviolent Disinfection and Biological Filtration; Installation Shipping and crating Basis for Award: Offerors must provide descriptive literature or other material that demonstrates their offer meets the forgoing requirements. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer fully meets the requirements of the solicitation and provides the best value to the Government. Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) via email to: robinsti@mail.nih.gov prior to the closing date of this notice or before August 28, 2009 @ 3:00 pm EST. It is anticipated that RFQ - NIH-NICHD-09-156 will be available ten (10) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due seven (7) days after the release of the RFQ. All requests for quotations must have a valid email address. Email quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and an authorized company representative signature.
