Description
Sole Source J&A The 31st Contracting Squadron (31CONS) at Aviano AB, Italy intends to enter into a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) sole source contract with Oshkosh Corporation for One (1), Five (5) Day Striker Maintenance Training Class and One (1) Four (4) Day Striker Advanced Electronic Class for ten (10) students per class, with one (1) instructor, to be held on location at Aviano AB, Italy using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to Citations 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) or as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Oshkosh Corporation is the manufacturer of the Striker Fire Truck and has not released the rights for any other company to provide Oshkosh Approved Training. The North American Industry Classification System is 62431 All Other Miscellaneous Schools and Instruction and the size standard is $5.0 Million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and the Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in proposal preparation. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The 31st Contracting Squadron will consider all proposals received by 3:00pm Central European Time 23 Aug 2009, five days after publication of this notice.
