Description
Contracting Office Address: Army Contracting Command (ACC), Joint Munitions& Lethality (JM&L) Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000. Description: This notice is a Sources Sought announcement. There is no solicitation available at this time. The ACC JM&L Contracting Center isconducting a Market Survey on behalf of the Joint Program Manager Lightweight 155mm (LW155) Howitzer to identify potential sources for the manufacture of additional howitzers. To support requirements for additional quantities of M777 and M777A2 LW155 howitzers, sources are sought to manufacture, integrate various GFE, test and deliver complete systems for fielding. Quantities of 100 to 200 howitzers are required with deliveries beginning in late 2011. The following are basic minimum specifications for the M777A2: Weight: 10,000 pounds or lighter with TAD Emplace: Less than three minutes Displace: Two to three minutes Maximum range: 30 km(assisted) Rate-of-fire: Four to eight rounds per minute maximum; two rounds per minute sustained Ground mobility: Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles, Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement, five-ton trucks Air mobility: Two per C-130; six per C-17; 12 per C-5; CH-53D/E; CH- 47D; MV-22 155mm compatibility: all fielded and developing NATO munitions Digital fire control: self-locating and pointing; digital and voice communications; self-contained power supply.
