- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCDD), has procurement for one 3D Printer Bundle that meets the following specifications and requirements. 3D PRINTER BUNDLEREQUIREMENTS a.The machine must be capable of building prototype parts with the dimensions in range of 18" x 14" x 7" (455mm x 355mm x 175mm) at a Layer Thickness in High Resolution (HR) or High Quality (HQ) of or better than 0.001" or 25micron (0.025mm). This machine should maintain a resolution less than 0.001" or < 0.025mm or < 25 micron.b.Accuracy of the machine needs to be in range of 0.005" or 0.15 mm.c.The machine must include the ability to use different types of modeling materials.d.The machine must have fully enclosed material cartridges which can be easily replaced.e.The power requirements should reflect what is currently available in our lab facilities. High current requirements {20 amps plus} or 3-phase power would be less preferred.f.The machine package must include control software that will allow the user to directly import.stl files for model making.g.Hazardous materials produced by post processing of prototypes are not preferred. For example, non toxic water cleanup would be preferred over oven de-waxing or ultrasonic chemical cleaning. Award is to be made under simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR 13 as a Firm Fixed Price purchase order. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 323111 and the small business size standard is five hundred (500) employees.
