Description
Amendment #1. The following questions were posed for clarification during the contractor on-site review meeting August 12, 2009 and the answers can be found within the written contract: 1)Does the water line need to stay active for the duration of the waterline replacement? YES. Underground water distribution system complete, ready for operation, including all appurtenant structures, and connections to both new building service lines and to existing water supply. Page/Section 33 10 00 1.1 2)Does the line being replaced need to hook up with the existing system? YES. See above and Section 33 10 00, page 7, Part 3.1, Install water service lines to point of connection within approximately 1500 mm (5 feet) outside of buildings to which such service is to be connected and make connections thereto. 3)Does the water need to be tested for bacteria before the contract is finished? NO. The new domestic water line is to be connected to the existing domestic water source at the pump house, which is non-potable water. 4)What type of piping needs to be used in the waterline replacement itself? See Section 33 10 00 page 5, Parts 2.1 through 2.3: Polyvinyl chloride pipe and fittings, copper pipe and tubing, and valves. 5)An irrigation valve map for burial Section B and the surrounding area was requested. Copies are available by request and can be emailed, faxed or mailed to interested parties. Project R-CSD-101, Repair/Replace Domestic Water Line: Provide all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to install a new domestic water supply line at Black Hills National Cemetery in accordance with the attached drawing and associated project specifications. Award of this project will be in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Public Law 100-656). It is set-aside 100% for Veteran Owned Small Businesses. This project is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. The magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS:237110, P&S:Y245. This solicitation will be posted on the FederalBusinessOpportunities website O/A July 24, 2009 and sealed bids will be do on August 24, 2009 at 01:00 pm MST, unless extensions are issued in an amendment.
