Description
The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization in cooperation with the Defense Information Systems Agency, DISA, intends to award, through full and open competition (under authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (a)(1)), a firm-fixed price contract to a single vendor to provide travel telecommunications services in support of the DISA travel mission. The firm fixed price ID/IQ contract consists of a one year base year with four (4) one year option periods. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This contract will be used to provide temporary telecommunications services in support of the various personnel traveling for DISA. Competition will not be limited but vendors should have enough market presence to be able to provide extensive connectivity averaging in excess of one to two hundred temporary lines in dozens of locations simultaneously throughout the Continental United States on very short notice, usually within 12 hours. Each trip site must be supported exactly as required (in terms of schedule and types of service required) by DISA. It is vital the company selected has the capabilities, experience and resources to instantly react to the rapidly changing requirements of DISA and its members. The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of provisioning all required communications between the locations identified in every order including, but not necessarily limited to, installation of drops, pulling of cable, provisioning of local and long distance service, installation and provisioning of ISDN-PRI & BRI for switched data, voice, video and VTC, installation of trunks, provisioning of international direct dialing and VPN. Service types include measured business lines, radio lines, DSL, ISDN (BRI & PRI), T-1's, and Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS). The MPLS service will encompass service running from all trip sites back to three permanent locations. Government personnel will operate the equipment employed. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Please continue to monitor this website for the posting of the Request for Proposal.
