Description
Reference Pre-Solicitation VA-263-09-RP-0277 posted June 2, 2009. The VISN 23 Contracting Office intends to acquire for the VA MedicalCenter, Minneapolis, MN a replacement Commercial-type Dryer/Tumbler asoutlined below. Offeror to provide, TURN-KEY INSTALLATION and shallfurnish all, supervision, labor, equipment, and supplies necessary tomeet the terms and conditions of this contract in accordance with theStatement of Work (SOW) in accordance with RFP VA-263-09-RP-0274. Thisincludes delivery and installation of new laundry equipment inconformance with the following set of specifications. All items providedby the contractor shall be new unless otherwise specified else where inthe solicitation. In addition, VA requires the removal of the existinglaundry equipment that will be utilized as a trade-in. Equipment andmaterials shall be suitable for installation in available space,arranged for safe and convenient operation and maintenance and ifapplicable with referenced specifications, include lock-out and tag-outrequirements for all industrial equipment offered. The following systemcomponents are sought: One (1) each Dryer/Tumbler, Conditioning, 400-500Pound, Gas, Commercial-type, Pass-through, 480V, 3-Phase, 60 Cycle. Mustmeet all other requirements of VA specifications includingde-installation, installation, rigging, plumbing and pressure work,electrical, all labor and materials and complete operator and servicemanuals. Two (2) Training Materials and Videos: Contractor shall submittraining materials and training videos (prepared in VHS, CD or DVDformat) on each piece of equipment for operation and maintenance.Separate training videos shall be made for operation and maintenance andshall not be combined. Three (3) Trade-in of Challenge-Cook 400 PoundGas Dryer, Model DFG II, SN 593386. SEE solicitation documents for Scopeof Work and detailed requirements. New systems must be FDA 501Kcertified. ++ TURN-KEY INSTALLATION is defined as the completede-installation and removal of the old equipment, the completeinstallation of the new equipment and systems, connecting the newsystems to Government utilities, as required, providing the Governmentwith a system that is complete, functional, and ready to utilize onpatients, and the restoration of walls, floors and ceilings. TheGovernment will bring utilities into close proximity to the installationsite but will not be responsible for the final connections. NAICS236220, $33.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a writtenproposal which, if timely received, shall be considered by theGovernment. PROPOSALS MUST BE COMPLETE AND PROVIDE ALL INFORMATIONSOUGHT IN THE SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS. Failure to provide fullinformation may cause proposals to be down-rated in the evaluationprocess. The Government desires TWO COPIES of the proposals, stapledand not otherwise bound. Solicitation documents are available on orabout August 18, 2009 and can be downloaded at www.fbo.gov. Offers aredue September 15, 2009 at 4:00 CT. Proposals will be sent (or delivered)to arrive by the date and time due. Mail or other delivery systems/methods. Lateproposals will be rejected. Proposals must be in the Government'scustody by the due date and time.
