- Description
- The National Institutes of Health, (NIH), National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b), with NordicNeuro Lab, Inc. 234 W. Florida Street, Suite 210, Milwaukee, WI 53204, to purchase one (1) each Item No. 100013 Visual System with Eye Tracking Camera for Building 10, 10 Center Drive, Bethesda, Maryland 20814. The following specifications are recommended for procurement of a visual system with eye tracking camera for presenting visual stimuli in an MR scanner environment: The visual system shall enable the operator to present visual stimuli to a patient in an MR scanner and shall include integrated headphone/video goggles, transducer box, control unit and remote control. The visual system shall connect to standard PC graphics cards and have separate channels for each eye. The visual system shall have a refresh rate of 85 Hz or better. The visual system shall allow true 3D and stereo stimuli to be displayed. The visual system shall have resolution format of 800 (x3) x 600 pixels SVGA or better. The visual system shall have field of vision (FOV) of 30 degrees horizontal and 23 degrees vertical. The visual system shall have aspect ratio of 4:3. The visual system shall have 16.7 minimum colors. The visual system shall have signal transfer using fiber-optic cable through waveguide. The visual system shall incorporate an eye tracking camera with eye tracker, receiver, transmitter, software and accessories to allow the operator to produce a video of the subject’s eye in an MR environment. The visual system eye tracking camera shall have image type of dark pupil and shall incorporate a built-in infra-red light source to work in darkness. The visual system eye tracking camera shall have output visual signal of EIA (NTSC), 60 Hz. half frame. The visual system eye tracking camera shall have output impedance of 75 ohm. The visual system shall have a two year parts and labor warranty commencing with acceptance by the NIH Project Officer at no additional cost to the Government. The visual system shall include installation and training at no additional cost to the Government. The visual system shall include shipping and handling at no additional cost to the government. The NAICS code is 334516. This NOTICE OF INTENT is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. Vendors who believe they can provide the requirement may submit written notification to the Contracting Officer by 11:00 AM, EST, August 24, 2009. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Interested vendors must provide a Capability Statement with the following information: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Telephone and Fax Number, Email Address, Business Size, and DUNS Number. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to NordicNeuro Lab, Inc.
