- Description
- USDA, ARS has a requirement to update a liquid handling instrument (Tecan Miniprep 75). This instrument is used for setting up sequencing reactions and plates in the SEPRL DNA Sequencing Facility. The instrument should have the following specifications 1. The instrument must be able to use the existing hardware for microplate and reagent placement. 2. System must include a fixed washable tip liquid handling arm. The tip must be controlled independently via separate motors in the X, Y and Z axis's. 3. Instrument must do pipetting with the tip must be controlled with a diluter that can be fitted with syringes from 25uL to 5.0mL. The liquid handling arm must utilize liquid filled technology, not air displacement, allowing efficient cleaning of the tip between samples. 4. The instrument must have a high-speed fast Wash Pump installed for washing tips. 5. System must be equipped with a pipetting channel that can be flushed with decontamination fluids. The liquid path must be resistant to bleach and ethanol sterilization. 6. The instrument must be able to run worklist with the extension *.gwl. 7. The software must be able to run the instrument from an external *.gwl file from an existing worklist generator. 8. The software must be equipped with wizard driven error recovery that allows the user to restart an interrupted process or run. 9. The software must be password protected so that unauthorized users cannot make changes to crucial programs. Faxed responses are acceptable. The government anticipates award of a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the specifications will be most advantageous to the Government per FAR 13.106-2. This acquisition is being conducted under the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The anticipated award date is September 3rd, 2009.
