Description
The U. S. Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division, Natick, MA on behalf of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs has a commercial requirement for a CT Angiography Unit to be used in support of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Hyperbaric Oxygenation Therapy. This acquisition is for a commercial turnkey system which includes: (1) lease of a whole brain CT angiography unit, (2) installation of the unit, and (3) training of personnel. The lease is for 18 to 24 months. The location is Evans Army Community Hospital, Fort Carson, CO. Angiography Unit: This is a whole brain Computed Tomography (CT) angiography unit with the following specifications: 256 or 320 slice with single pass full brain perfusion CT at a dose of less than 10 millisieverts (mSv). Standard CT package includes workstation hardware, which meets DoD/USAMMA requirements for network security issues. Software includes neuro package, cardiac package, and virtual colonoscopy package. There is an IV Contrast Injector. Warranty and service is included. Installation: This includes facility build out such as electrical, mechanical (e.g., additional air conditioning), and safety (e.g., sprinkler system) sufficient enough to support a turn-key system. Offerors wishing to inspect the installation site prior to submitting a proposal may contact Mr. John Conlin, Contract Specialist, by email at john.conlin3@us.army.mil to arrange a site visit. Training: One week of off-site and one week of on-site applications training for technologists; courses for CT cerebral perfusion, cardiac CT, and virtual colonoscopy. A FFP contract is anticipated. The government anticipates a 18 month base period, with a 6 month option period. The estimated start date is September 15, 2009. The government anticipates the solicitation document will be released on the Natick Contracting Division website, https://www3.natick.army.mil, on or about August 17, 2009.
