This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-35. Solicitation W81K00-09-T-0308 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This acquisition is solicited as unrestricted for NAICS 339112, size standard 500 employees. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clause 52.211-6 BAXA Brand Name or Equal applies to this acquisition. The salient characteristics for the Exacta Mix 2400 are one system that delivers both macro and micro ingredients. It should have a volumetric delivery with a gravimetric check. It uses bar code system for verification of ingredients. It should have a minimum delivery volume of 0.2 mLs. Compounding system should be able to handle up to 24 different ingredients. It should have air bubble detector and occlusion alarm. The operating software and computer system must be Windows based. Computer monitor should have a touch screen. System should have an integrated scale and computer. The system should have an electronic Y-site for high volume ingredients. Total Parenteral Nutrition bags proves to be a useful tool to improve nutritional status for patients with nonfunctioning digestive tracts. BAXA is the manufacturer and you shall submit manufacturer or equal equipment and products. Vendors shall comply with FAR 52.211-6 if submitting other than the Brand Name product.
