Description
P53-JUSTIFICATION FOR OTHER THAN FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION NSN: 3110-01-187-2700, Bearing, Roller, Cylindrical. Purchase Request Number 0022698194. “Source Control Item”, General Electric Co. (07482), Drawing: 9972M33, Rev T. Critical Application Item. Approved Sources in the Purchase Order Text (POT): SKF Bearings (38443), P/N 9972M33P06 and FAG Aerospace (36069), P/N 9972M33P07. Terms are FOB Destination, Inspection and Acceptance at Origin. Stocked Item. A QCC Code of FCA. Requested delivery is 162 Days ARO. Solicitation will result in a Firm Fixed Price Contract. Solicited on an Other Than Full and Open Competitive Basis. The quantity is 129 each. Award from the solicitation can only be made for a domestically manufactured (U.S. or Canada bearing and bearing components (I.E. bearing, element, retainer, inner/outer race). See the restriction on acquisition of ball and roller bearings clause (DFARS 252.225.7016). When only foreign bearings are available, this RFP will be cancelled and re-solicited if DOD waives the restriction upon request by this activity. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The solicitation issue date is anticipated to be 31 August 2009. A copy of the solicitation will be available via the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil as of the solicitation issue date cited in the RFP.
