- This sources sought notice is issued for information and planningpurposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs - VISN #3 VeteransHealthcare System is performing a survey to determine the availabilityof Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms capableof performing a passenger and service elevator modernization project.The project is to consist of upgrading of new fire keys, and the upgradeof the controls and/or equipment for five (5) existing hydraulicpassenger elevators and five (5) traction service elevators at the LyonsVA Medical Center located in Lyons NJ. The contractor must provide andinstall new solid state microprocessor controls, drives, motors,dispatchers, and leveling unit. All work performed under this contractshall meet or exceed the current ASME-A17.1 Elevator Code, state codeand the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards. The magnitude of theproject is $ 500,000 to $1,000,000. The NAICS Code is 238290 and thecurrent size standard is $14 Million. It is anticipated that thisproject will take approximately 365-calendar days to complete. Pleasenote that there is no solicitation available at this time; the purposeof this announcement is to identify available sources only. It isanticipated that this project will be advertised as a Request forProposal. Competitive proposals will be evaluated based on theevaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation package. Evaluation bythe Government will result in selection of a firm that represents thebest overall value to the Government. Proposed procurement will resultin a firm fixed price contract. Please provide the following; (1)Business Name, (2) Business Address, (3) Contact Telephone Number/E-mailaddress, (4) Proof of registration through the Central ContractorRegistration (CCR), (5) Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businessstatus - proof of registration through the VetBizRegistry, (6)Small/Large Business status and (7) Information detailing company'scapabilities of performing elevator modernization projects, (8)Reference for three (3) projects on this scale, preferably for elevatorsat a Medical Center completed in the past three (3) years.Important Information: The Government will in no way be obligated toissue a solicitation or award a contract for the aforementioned work,and is providing this as information only. The Government will in no waybe bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Currently aTotal Set-aside for Small Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)firms is anticipated. However, if interest by Small Service DisabledVeteran Owned Small Business firms proves inadequate, an alternateset-aside or full and open competition may be determined.
