Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate and award a purchase order for the repair of one (1) Kelvinox insert of the 11.5 Tesla Magnet for the NIST Center for Neutron Research, (NCNR) group with Oxford Instruments America, Inc. 300 Baker Ave., Suite 150, Concord, MA 01742. Oxford Instruments is the manufacturer of the equipment being services and is the only company qualified to perform specialty repairs. Engineer to perform services 1) leak check system, 2) cool insert down to 4.2K, 3) run kelvinox insert using system thermometry to show base temperature and cooling power. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
