- The Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions & Lethality ContractingCenter, Joint Armaments Center, on behalf of the US Army Armament Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), Weapon Systems and Technology Directorate, Indirect Fire Armaments Division,Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, is conducting market research tolocate firms interested in entering into Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) with the US Government. Interested sources should be capableof providing desiccant bags, humidity indicators and other container parts for use in packaging ammunition such as desiccant bags for M982 Excalibur projectiles in accordance with ARDEC drawing 13001441 see attachment). The desiccant bags consist of 200 gms of molecular sieve type 4A in four sections with an outer cotton bag with Velcro closure for wrap around the projectile and the National Stock Number is 4440-01-554-6093. Interested sources must be fully safety testedand qualified with live M982 Excalibur projectiles in order to be anapproved source. The Government may enter into one or multipleBlanket Purchase Agreements as a result of this notice. Firms/companiesare invited to indicate their interests and capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, information pertainingto experience on previous contracts for similar supplies/services andother technical data. All information is to be submitted via e-mail at no cost or obligation to the Government; information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses shall also indicate the size of the business entity; large or smallbusiness and indicate which of the technical areas(s) you are addressing in your submission. Please provide name of your firm, address, POC, phone/fax number, and email address. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.The Government will accept written questions by email only. Inaddition, interested firms are encouraged to submit their capabilities/ qualification data No LATER THAN August 24, 2009. This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for informationaland planning purposes only. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for anyinformation provided under this notice. The Government is not obligatedto notify respondents of the results of this survey.
