Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request for Quote Q9377090002 is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items and is being issued as an RFQ. This proposed procurement action is 100% set-aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220 with a small business size standard of $14.0 million. The National Park Service has a requirement to replace existing heat pumps as described in each separate line item with new heat pumps. The contractor shall supply all material, equipment, supplies, and labor necessary for the successful completion of this project. The new heat pumps shall be fully operational in conformance to the manufactures recommended specifications. The new heat pumps shall be as compatible as can be with all existing appurtenances and other related equipment. I.E. controls and thermostats. The new heat pumps must have a cupronickel heat exchanger, an extended range option including a thermal static expansion valve (TXV) and freeze stat. Include warranty information of each unit with your proposal. The unit price shall include the cost to dispose of the old units at an approved landfill or recycling of the unit after evacuation of the freon in each unit. Provide the park with documentation of the evacuation of the freon. Upon completion of the installation, provide the park with all operational manuals and the start up instructions. SITE VISIT: Due to the placement of existing ductwork and other appurtenances, a site visit is required. The site visit is scheduled for August 19, 2009 at 10:00am. Replace existing Florida Heat Pump #8 1 ea. _______________ with a brand and model that complies with the requirements listed above. The current model # is HE031-3HZC CLIN 0004. Replace existing filters on units #1,2,3, 8 ea. ____________ ________________ 4,5,6,9, and 10 with Aprilaire or equal high efficiency media air cleaners. TOTAL $________________ This combined sunopsis/solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses of those that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-36.
