Description
MODIFICATION 1 The purpose of the amendment is to extend the deadline for submission of proposals from August 15th to August 24th and schedule a site visit for the inspection of the current USAID generator set up and operation. Note the site visit is not mandatory, but will enable potential bidders to inspect the site in order to gain a better understanding of the requirements of the solicitation. A) The closing date for receipt of proposals is revised from August 15th 2009 to August 24th 2009 at (insert time) B) A site visit to tour the USAID office and residential compounds to examine the current generator set up will be conducted at 1:30 PM on August 18th, 2009. Potential bidders should assemble outside the USAID Office Compound in Juba 10 minutes prior to the start of the inspection. The tour of the office compound generator location and operating conditions will be conducted first, immediately followed by the generator set up at the residential compound. Questions can be asked and will be answered to the best ability of the available USAID staff. Information provided shall not be considered contractually binding on the part of USAID. Upon completion of the Office compound facility inspection, bidders will exit the compound and move to the residential compound. In order to ease traffic and parking congestion, bidders are requested to walk to the residential compound. (Less than 10 minutes) The site visits are expected to be completed within 2 hours. No separate site visits will be allowed outside of this scheduled time. Note the following: 1) Absolutely no photographs are allowed inside either compound. 2) Cell phones shall be turned off and not used while inside the compounds. 3) Entry into the compounds requires a valid picture ID such as a passport. 4) Vehicles will not be allowed to enter either compound. Bidders should plan on arriving early and parking away from the USAID Office compound as security will restrict parking in the immediate area of the USAID Office.
