- This is a sources sought only. We would like to hear from all size standards of business, to incluede: small business; 8(a), SDVOSB, Large business, etc. Please indicate your business type in your reply. PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT Period of Performance: 1 October 2009 - 30 September 2010. Services required: to provide on-site quality inspections and 24 hours a day, 7 days a week telephone consultation to 375th Medical Group, 310 West Losey Street, Scott AFB, IL 62225, Nuclear Medicine Department. Vendor will provide the following services: 1. Consult with the preparation of new, renewal or amendment application(s) for the Air Force Radioactive Materials Permit. 2. Consult in keeping the radioactive materials permit(s) current. 3. Provide consulting and reference assistance to maintain a radioactive materials laboratory according to Radio Isotope Committee (RIC) and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations. 4. Consult on the current radiological health program and record system in accordance with RIC and NRC regulations. 5. Consult in maintenance of current RIC and NRC regulations. 6. Offer in-service education and annual review programs to technical staff as requested and which coincides with inspections. 7. Provide recommendations on the most current equipment to achieve maximum economy and service. 8. Will perform wipe/leak tests on sealed sources four times, in December, March, June and September. 9. Calibration of survey meters perform once per meter. Calibration to be accomplished per history documentation. 10. Visit facility four times, December, March, June and September to: a. Offer consultation on problems pertaining to radiation safety program. b. Test each machine for compliance, scintillation camera (s), uptake probe and well detector units, as time and patient schedules permit. Review government quality control over the previous 90 days on each machine. c. Perform geometry, accuracy, constancy, and evaluate activity linearity checks on dose calibrators, as required by license conditions, regulations set by NRC and RIC. d. Review records for license conditions, NRC and RIC compliance, counting and handling procedures for proper techniques, and health physics program to assure continued safe management of radioactive materials. e. Film badge records will be reviewed and action recommended in case(s) of apparent overexposures. f. Survey Nuclear Medicine department for possible contamination or excessive radiation exposure levels. g. Lecture on nuclear medicine techniques and radiation physics, arranged to coincide with consulting inspections. h. Attend radiation safety committee meetings, arranged to coincide with consulting inspections. i. Inventory sealed sources as required by license conditions, RIC and NRC compliance. 11. Available for consultation by phone during duty hours 0730-1600. 12. Provide a formal typewritten report of each inspection conducted at the 375 Medical Group.
