- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command-West, Presidio of Monterey has a requirement for EMERGENCY WATER LINE REPAIR at USARC, Mare Island, CA. The work consists of, but is not limited to the following: The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision to repair ruptured existing water line at the quay wall area at USARC, Mare Island, CA. Exact material of existing piping is unknown at this time. Contractor shall be responsible for any costs associated with identifying all utilities and areas located in the area where proposed trenching is to be done by utilizing underground utility locating company. Work to be performed include pot-holing, fence removal, excavation of water line trench, repairing water piping, back-filling of trench, and final clean-up. Contractor will also be responsible for repair of any underground lines damaged during excavation and construction, at no additional cost to the Government. All operations necessary to accomplish the work will be done in accordance with the project Scope of Work and Drawings. Solicitation number W9124N-09-T-0221 will be available on or about 14 Aug 2009. A MANDATORY SITE VISIT is scheduled for Wednesday, 26 August 2009 at 10:00am (PST). Site visit location will be 1480 Railroad Avenue, Bldg 1296, USARC, Mare Island,, CA 94592-1019. All questions pertaining to this procurement must be submitted to the Contract Specialist NLT 1 September 2009 at 10:00 a.m. (PST). The primary Site Visit POC is Gary Van Tassel, PH: 707-342-0722. Alternate Site Visit POC: Wayne Alves 562-795-2060. Only contractors that sign in during the mandatory site visit will be considered for this acquisition. Proposals are due Tuesday, 8 September 2009 at 10:00 a.m. (Pacific Standard Time). This acquisition is set-aside at 100% as a Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237110 with a size standard of $33.5M. Performance period is 120 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Payment and performance bonds are not required for this project. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract.
