- This is an announcement of the award of Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) services at Peterson AFB CO. After a competitive 8(a) source selection the award is made to Aviation Systems of Northwest Florida, Inc. (ASI). Transition begins 17 Aug 09 and contract start date is 01 Sep 09 for the following services: The Peterson Air Force Base (PAFB) Type IIB base-level PMEL supports aircraft, missiles, ground systems and other equipment. The PMEL inspects, tests, aligns, repairs, calibrates, certifies and maintains electronic, mechanical and dimensional Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) for customers located in the surrounding area to include Peterson AFB, Schriever AFB, Buckley AFB, the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), and Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (AFS). The PMEL also provides Fiber Optics calibrations for Kirtland AFB, F.E. Warren AFB, Malmstrom AFB, and Minot AFB; these calibrations are performed at the PAFB PMEL. On-Site calibration support is necessary for certain workload requirements. The award is for a one month base period and includes four option years (01 Oct 09 through 30 Sep 13). This is an award of CLINs 0001 thru 6001. Total Contract Value is $2,932,498.00.
