Description

This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract under statutory authority, 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The government intents to award a sole source (See approved sole source justification below) fixed price contract to Siemens Government Services, Inc., 1881 Campus Commons Drive, Reston, VA 20191. If any interested parties can fulfill this requirement, please provide statement of interest to this office NLT 12:00 noon CDST on 26 August 2009. Electronic submissions are acceptable. Maxwell Blvd Maxwell AFB AL 36112 SOLE SOURCE JUSTIFICATION For SIEMENS MAINTENANCE CONTRACT F2X0A29163A001 1. Description of the supplies and services being required: 42 ABW/CP (Command Post) intends to procure service/maintenance contract to perform warranty/repair work on the SIEMENS communication/dispatch equipment. 42 ABW/CP requires the following services at an estimated price of $XXXXX. 2. Competitive Situation: SIEMENS is the only company capable of satisfying this requirement, as it remains sole proprietary rights to the operating system/equipment, and is solely responsible for its warranty service. Other service contractors are unable or don't have the technical expertise with the operating equipment/system to provide immediate response/service. 3. SEIMENS is the only known source capable of satisfying this requirement. 4.
