Description
SIR Description: This is a small business set-asideThe Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Western Service Area, Los Angeles, CA has a requirement to replace the Air Conditioning System serving the Burbank Air Traffic Control Tower located at the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, CA. The Contractor must provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and services. Work includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Remove and replace two existing rooftop packaged heat pump units, 6 tons, including ductwork and transitions, roof curb adapter, new disconnect switches, new thermostats, and make all electrical and control connections; equipment located on ATCT cab rooftop. 2. Remove and replace four existing 5 ton packaged wall mounted A/C units, serving the UPS and equipment room, including ductwork and transitions, wall mounting and support, supply and return grilles for AC-3 and AC-4, a new lead/lag switch w/ thermostat for AC-3 and AC-4; reconnect controls for AC-1 and AC-2; and make all electrical and control connections. 3. Remove and replace four existing split system heat pump units, 1 Ton nominal cooling/heating; indoor units are ceiling recessed type. Replace outdoor disconnects with fusible type disconnects; install new refrigerant piping from outdoor to indoor unit; install new wired thermostats; and make all electrical and control connections. The air conditioning systems specified herein and shown on the drawings shall be complete, functional, and operational in all respects. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to the low priced technically acceptable offer. Contract award will be based on the following: past performance, qualifications of key personnel, and technical approach. The contractor must have successfully completed similar projects both in dollar and scope. Contractors must have an active registration in the CCR before contract award can be made. Contractors can register at: www.ccr.gov The work will be performed in strict accordance with the specifications and contract provisions under the subject contract. Award of a firm-fixed-price contract is being contemplated to a responsible offeror who submits the responsive offer to this requirement. To promote the financial assistance programs available from the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU, S-40), procurement teams should add the following information in each public announcement of procurement: "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
