- The Mission Installation Contracting Command Center Fort Knox is conducting market research for the following requirement: Medical Waiver Review Services, Fort Knox, Kentucky This work includes but is not limited to the following; "The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and supplies to perform Medical Waiver Review Services for the US Army Recruiting Command (USAREC). This acquisition is a performance-based service. Performance is successful when all applicable measures are provided within the times specified by the Performance Work Statement (PWS). "The contractor shall review approximately 80-90 waver requests per day during the last few days of every month (Recruiting Calendar Month (RCM). During mission days the total number of medical waivers processed can reach 250 per day, which will require services under this contract. "This contract is required to decrease the turn around time for processing medical waivers, thereby, increasing enlistments in the US Army and US Army Reserve. "The contractor shall have a minimum of 3 years experience interpreting Army enlistment eligibility criteria and Army recruiting regulations to determine the physical fitness and emotional welfare of applicants. "The contractor shall have a medical degree from an accredited US Medical School and will be board-certified in Ophthalmology. Contractor will have a minimum of 10-years demonstrated clinical experience in this specialty. Approximately 80% of waivers are vision related. The anticipated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 621111; small business size standard is $10Million. This announcement is not a request for proposal. It is a market research too being used to determine procurement strategy. Appropriate procurement strategy will be determined after consideration of industry response to this sources sought announcement. The government is not obligated to, and will not, pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this announcement.
