- Recovery Act - The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking aconstruction contractor to furnish all labor, materials, tools,equipment, and design-build services for Upgrade Dental Area on the 1stfloor at the VA Medical Center, 50 Irving Street, NW, Washington, DC20422. Project Number is 688-09-010. Competition for this procurementis 100% Veteran-owned Small Business. The work includes, but is notlimited to, the design-build upgrade dental area on 1st floor. Thedesign shall include a preliminary study of existing areas. The VA willprovide the A/E with basic drawings of the area. The A/E will fieldverify, use VA design criteria, provide minimum airflows needed for eachroom served and consider both supply air and exhaust/return air.The A/Eshall update existing as-build drawings including layout of all MEPcomponents. The firm must be a General Construction firm approved underNACIS: 238910, size standard: $14.0 million. The offeror shall obtainany all necessary licenses or permits required to perform this work inWashington, DC. Prospective contractors must be registered and currentin the following websites: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov,http://www.ccr.gov, and https://orca.bpn.gov to be eligible for award.Technical and Cost proposals will be accepted from only responsible andresponsive contractors. The project duration is expected to be 120 daysfrom the date of receipt of the notice to proceed. Prospectivecontractors may acquire solicitation documents, which are only availablein.pdf electronic format by registering and downloading plans andspecifications from the FedBizOpps website www.fbo.gov.
