- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole-source, fixed-price procurement to Ixia Worldwide Headquarters, 26601 West Agoura Road, Calabasas, California 91302 through RFQE009189. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government and the related industry, it has been determined the FBI's requirement for the referenced items can only be provided by Ixia since they are the only company that can provide maintenance to their data generators. The following are being procured: • Extended Maintenance Renewal for Software Products (qty 1) • Extended Maintenance Renewal for IXOS Core Software (qty 1) • Extended Maintenance Renewal for IXIA Hardware Products (qty 1) This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 12:00 pm EDT, August 18, 2009, via facsimile to the attention of: Laurie L. Williams, Contracting Officer, at 703-632-6103. Information received, will be solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System Number (NAICS) is 811212. The awardee shall be registered in the Central Contractor's Database (CCR) and also the Online Representations and Certification (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov.
