Description

Requirement is to purchase 80,000 feet of Siemon Category 6 Cross Connect Wire, CJ6-W4- 1000 (or industry equivalent). Cable wire must be 4-pair 24 AWG (0.51mm), cross connect pair colors blue/orange/green/brown on 1,000 ft. spool. Cable must comply with TIA/EIA-568-B.2-1 standards. Also, require 1,000 each Hitachi 30132-48 CAT 6E 50 pair cable (6 legs, RJ-45, 4-pair cable in each 50 pair jacket). Each 50 pair cable will be 100 feet wired with RJ-45 on both ends using the 568A standard using individual basic color coded (blue,orange, green, brown, slate, white) jackets within each cable sheath leaving 18 inches of the RJ-45 basic color coded jackets free from the cable sheath on both ends with 3:1 adhesive heat shrink at breakout point. Cable must comply with TIA/EIA standards. Sample of cable built to spec is requested prior to shipping. RFP will be issued as unrestricted. Anticipated posting date of RFP is August 18, 2009. RFP will be available on DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) located at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/. The RFP will request a 90 day delivery for delivery of all items. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded to the low offeror offering items as described above.
