Description
Conference Support The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to procure the following services. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. The Government anticipates awarding a contract to the offeror whose proposal is the lowest price. The Government contemplates award of a firm fixed price contract resulting from this solicitation. CDC reserves the right to award the contract to an offeror who may not be the lowest technically acceptable price proposal if it is determined by the Contracting Officer that the lowest price proposals are determined to be non-responsive by unrealistic or unreasonable cost. Based on the budget plan and in accordance with the terms and conditions of this solicitation the contract will be awarded to that offeror whose price, is in conformance to the statement of work, and offers the lowest price to the Government. Specific tasks to be performed see attached statement of work 2009-Q-11611. The following instructions establish the acceptable minimum requirements for the format of proposals. A detailed cost proposal must include these following components: Labor, Other Direct Cost/Materials, sponsored travelers, how they plan to manage the requirement, information on how the proposed planning meeting and conference is to be organized, staffed, and managed. This information must demonstrate an understanding of important events or tasks and their management including a list of personnel assigned to work directly on the conference, and a brief description of their relevant experience and qualification. The contractor must also provide the number of hours the contractor estimates each person listed will work on the project. The attached statement of work lists the line items, which indicate the stage of the conference, that apply to the contract Planning Meeting and Conference Implementation. Award will be made without discussions. Offeror's are advised to submit their quotes in the best favorable terms to the government. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The best way to complete this certification is to download the FAR Clauses (Volume II) at http://www.arnet.gov/far, print out the clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certification, and fill in the appropriate blanks. Proposals are due on or before 12:00pm Eastern Standard Time, on August 14, 2009. The proposal must be signed by an official authorized to bind your organization. Offerors are requested to submit proposals, to the maximum extent possible, on high grade white paper which can be recycled. Facsimile proposals are not authorized.
