Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation and no other solicitation document will be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote number RFQ HSCG44-09-Q-9TED926. This number is for tracking purposes only. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-32. This procurement will be processed in accordance with FAR Part 12. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 335314. The SBA size standard in Employee Size is 750. This is a Small Business Set-Aside. The USCG Command and Control Engineering Center (C2CEN) Ports. Va. 23703 intends to purchase: SixNet Industrial Ethernet Managed Switch P/N: SLX-10MG-130EA GMFIBER-SFP-500 Gigabit SFP Fiber Transceiver, mm, 550m60EA Items 1 & 2 comprise an Industrial Layer 3 Managed Network Switch which must meet the following minimum requirements: Network Connections: 7 fast Ethernet 10/100 RJ45 ports, 1 Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 RJ45 port, 2 Gigabit combo ports for copper or fiber Operating Temperature: -40 to 75 degrees Celsius Humidity (non-condensing): 5 to 95% Vibration & Shock: IEC60068-2-6, -27, -32 Dimensions: not to exceed 6.02(h) x 1.63(w) x 4.3(d) Power Requirements: External 12VDC Transcient Protection: 15,000 watts peak Spike Protection: 5,000 watts (10x for 10uS) Ethernet Compliance: IEEE 802.1D (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol), IEEE 802.3Z (Gigabit 1000 MBPS Ethernet Connections), IEEE 802.3U (Fast Ethernet 100MBPS for Newer Devices), IEEE 802.3 (10MBPS Ethernet Support for Legacy Devices), IEEE 802.3X (Full Duplex with Flow Control), IEEE 802.1P (Priority Queuing - WoS, CoS, ToS/DS), IEEE 802.1Q (VLAN for Traffic Segregation) Warranty: 5-Year Full Warranty on Parts and Labor The government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible bidder proposal conforming to the solicitation which will be most advantageous and BEST VALUE to the Government, price and other factors considered. FIRM FIXED Price Proposals may be submitted on company letterhead stationary and must include the following information: Cost breakdown, FOB Destination Unit Price, Extended Price, Availability, Payment Terms and discount offered for prompt payment. The closing date and time for receipt of offers is AUG/20/2009 @ 8:00 AM EST. Facsimile and E-mail quotes are acceptable and may be faxed to (757) 686-4018 or E-mailed to the primary POC Carrie F. Numbered Note 1 Applies to this Acquisition: The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The anticipated Award Date for the Contract is SEPT/ 9/2009; this date is approximate and not exact.
