- The USCG Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific in Oakland, CA, proposes to contract for the Dry dock repair of the USCGC GALVESTON ISLAND (WPB 1349). The cutter will be available for performance from 13 January 2010 through 02 March 2010. The work may include, but is not limited to Production Control, Gantt Bar Chart Provide; Hull Plating Renewal; Hull Plating, Underwater Body Inspect; Hull Plating, Underwater Body Ultrasonic Testing; Appendages (Underwater) Air Test; Appendages (Underwater) Preserve, Internal; Tanks (MP Fuel Service) Clean and Inspect; Tanks (MP Fuel Stowage and Overflow) Clean and Inspect; Tanks (Dirty & Waste Oil) Clean and Inspect; Deck Plating Renewal; Propulsion Shaft Seals Mechanical Overhaul & Inflatable Renewal; Propulsion Shaft Bearings (External) Check Clearances; Propell Clean/Inspect; Fire Alarm System Replacement; Replace MDE Simplex Sea Strainers with Duplex Sea Strainers; Vent Ducts (All Other) Commercial Cleaning; Sea Strainers (All Sizes) Overhaul; Sea Valve (<=2.5 Inches) Renewal; Sea Valve (>2.5 Inches) Overhaul; Grey Water Transfer Pump Replacements and Piping Modifications; Reverse Osmosis Watermaker Replacement; Potable Water Fill Station Deck Fitting Replacement; Tankless hot Water System Installation; Fin Stabilizers (General) Maintenance; Forward Shower Mods; Joiner Panel Renewal; Magazine Preservation and Deck Renewal; Hull Plating, Underwater Body Preserve, Partial; Rudders (Exterior) Preserve; CPO Berthing and head Preservation; Deck Coverings (Interior Polymeric) Renew; Deck Coverings (Interior Polymeric) Reseal; Temporary Services, Dry Dock Provide; Dry Docking Accomplish. On or before 24 Aug, 2009, a Total Small Business Set-aside Request for Proposals will be available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Only certified small business contractors meeting the requirements of FAR 52.219-14 may submit a proposal.
